Persian cat, breed and origin and variants

Persian cat is one of the most beautiful cats in the world. These cute and adorable creatures will be your companion, companion, and will always brighten up your evenings when you're alone.

Persian cat is very affectionate. They like to sleep or sit on the owner's lap, and often even on the shoulder, snoring pleasantly in his ear. Persians don't like being alone, they will follow you, from room to room. Also, Persian cats love to play, and regardless of age.

Surprisingly, Persian cats are more gentle and loving to their owners than cats, who are more independent and spend less time petting someone. Persian kittens and kittens are just lovely, curious and cute blobs. Even a very tired and tense owner would quickly relax and become more friendly if he saw such a gentle person meeting him in the doorway.

There are three standard types of Persian breeds:

– classic (in other words, English) – this is an outdated Persian breed, when the nose is located slightly below the eyes and is directed straight, that is, one might say, like an ordinary cat;

– modern (in other words, short nosed)

is a cat in which the upper edge of the nose is approximately parallel to the so-called lower eyelid, while the eyes are rather large, round, open;

– extreme (often called “American”)

these are individuals where the nose is located higher, about as high as the corner of the eye (inside).

Standard as a separate type.

This is when the nose is very high and even flat, while the cat is somewhat reminiscent of a pig.

If you decide to buy Persian, you will never regret it. But do not forget that he will not only give you joy and love, but also require the same attitude towards himself, because this is a cat who is very dependent on humans. Because of this, he needs to be more caring and affectionate than a regular cat, otherwise the Persian's fur may become stressed. Also, you need to take care of the Persian – be careful with the coat, paws, ears (care), feed him properly. So, beauty takes time, at least 15-20 minutes a day.

But these are small things compared to what you get in return. After all, regardless of standards and color, any Persian cat is simply a pleasure, bringing only joy.

About Persian cat breeds

As you know, the Persian cat is a long-haired breed. The first long-haired cats in Europe were studied in the 16th century, when they were brought there from Persia by travelers. Maybe that's why the name "Persian" was fixed. In general, in those days, long-haired cats were called differently, from “Asian” to “Russian”, citing the name of the breed according to the country where the cat was taken.

For several centuries, breeders from different countries have changed the appearance of cats (body structure, face). The 19th and 20th centuries became very important in the development of this breed. Since then, Persians have been associated with the following characteristics in everyone – they are cats with the characteristics of a solid, strong body, and short and strong paws, long and thick hair. But, the most important feature that cannot be confused with anything is cuteness, in some ways even a child's face with big round eyes.

Persian cat is very beautiful, friendly, loyal. Anyone who has seen it will want to have it at home. Indeed, it is not without reason that cats of this breed are the most frequent representatives and winners of all kinds of exhibitions and world rankings.

Another plus is the great character. All Persians are very calm and peaceful. At the same time, they will never offend children, even very stubborn and inquisitive ones.

All the characters and appearance of this extraordinary breed over the years have made the Persian cat one of the most loved and recognized around the world.

About Persian cat color

In the early development of the Persian cat breed, there were only a few colors – these were white, blue and very rarely – black. But, after the appearance of the so-called "boom" in the Persian spread and directed selection, over the centuries, more and more varied shades of color began to appear. Currently, there are more than 400 kinds of colors.

Already at the end of the 19th century, the first color standards, primitive by today's standards, appeared. The colors "exotic" began to appear. Let's try to list the most famous and common colors today: blue, white, black, purple, brown, beige, red, tortie, silver. And this is only a small part of all varieties.

There is also a color called "bicolor", which is a colored cat. Imagine how many variations of colored cats you can get. All of them cannot be mentioned one by one.

Many nurseries around the world are involved in breeding breeds of various colors. So if you suddenly want to buy yourself a cute fur, then you will only have a lot of options.
